Coordination, Confidence & Sport Basics
Ages 6 to 9 are where young athletes start learning how to move with purpose. This is the stage where coordination, balance, footwork, confidence, and basic sport skills begin to come together.
Tenacity helps athletes build the foundation they need to run better, change direction, react, catch, throw, compete, and feel more confident in practice and games.

Helping Young Athletes Move Better and Understand the Game
At this age, the goal is not just to make kids tired. The goal is to teach them how to move, how to listen, how to compete, and how to build confidence through progress.
Training is active, positive, and age-appropriate. Athletes work on movement skills that transfer into football, soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, and other youth sports.
- First-step quickness
- Footwork and agility basics
- Balance, coordination, and body control
- Starting, stopping, and changing direction
- Reaction drills and athletic games
- Catching, throwing, running, and basic sport movement
- Confidence, teamwork, communication, and effort
This Is Where Good Habits Start
Many young athletes struggle because they have never been taught how to move. They may run upright, stop off balance, round their cuts, avoid contact, hesitate, or lose confidence when the game speeds up.
Tenacity teaches athletes the basics early so they can build better habits before poor movement patterns become harder to fix.
What Parents Usually Notice First
Better coordination, more confidence, improved listening, quicker feet, better balance, and a child who starts to understand how to move during games.
A Good Fit for Beginners and Developing Athletes
This training path is ideal for athletes who are new to sports, already playing recreational sports, or beginning to show interest in becoming faster, more coordinated, and more confident.
Parents choose this age group when they want their child to learn fundamentals the right way, not just run through random drills.
